Flowers

One of my favorite quotes:

Plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul,
instead of waiting for
someone to bring you flowers.
~Veronica A. Shoffstall

I have often thought of this quote as I walk
through my garden picking flowers for the house.
Yes, all the flowers in this bouquet came from my garden.
They bring me such joy to see in the house, but
I know if I am to decorate my own soul
(bring joy in my heart)
I must do it for myself.
Sometimes I want
someone to pick me up and carry me
and decorate for me, but I am the one that must
do it for myself.

These flowers decorate my world and bring a smile on my face.

..........perfect, some of my favorites, sunflowers, cosmos, sage and dahlias....how pretty your garden must be right now Marilyn to collect a bouquet so lovely. Bet you have bees and butterflies too!

Love them kept informal and placed in the galvanized French style market vase.

Yes, I plant and pick myself, which is rewarding and so enjoyable..........not often do they come from the store, and definitely not from a florist!

Lovely weekend to you dear.

Beautiful, Marilyn. I can see all the corners of your garden and you moving your floral tenants from one place to another.

I love to have flowers in my home too. Seeing them makes you feel connected to the greater good of our being. And to stop for a moment and appreciate, the beauty of your life.

This is such a very pretty floral arrangement, Marilyn. So much different texture and and I admire the colors and how they all work together. And very sweet that birds nest in the mini cake stand--very sweet! Sometimes when we want something, we must do it ourselves, don't we? ;o) LOL... Happy Days ((HUGS))
